Sigmas was one of the first organizations were I truly felt connected with the SYZters and like I could find new opportunities and connections. I also was struggling with feeling connected with my culture and admired the sorority's commitment to creating space to explore and share one's culture.

I chose SYZ because when I met the Syzters, everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable right away, and I could genuinely see how supportive and close-knit the community is. I also really connected with their philanthropy and the impact they’re making, which showed me that they stand for something meaningful beyond just themselves. It felt like a place where people truly care about each other and their community, and I knew it was an environment I’d want to be a part of and grow in.

From the first time I meet the SYZters, they made me feel like I belonged. Once I started learning more about the organization I felt like my beliefs and values really aligned with SYZ’s philanthropy and all they work hard for.

I chose SYZ because of how much I connected with its philanthropy of combating violence against women. As someone who has the opportunity of pursuing higher education I want to give back to my community and spread awareness of topics I hold dear. I am excited to contribute to events like the educational tabling that I've seen the SYZters organize. SYZters also received me with open arms since day 1 and I will forever be grateful for them. I’ve truly found a place full of unconditional support!

What drew me to Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority Inc. was its deep commitment to combating violence against women. As someone who cares deeply about advocacy and standing up for those whose voices are often unheard, SYZ’s mission resonates deeply with my personal passions towards environmental justice. I found a space where action matters, where people show up for each other, and where I don’t have to change who l am to belong. From the very beginning, I felt safe, supported, and seen in ways I haven’t experienced before.

Honestly, I was uninterested in joining Greek life, but then I met the SYZters and they changed my mind completely. While I loved talking to the SYZters, the philanthropy is what really sold me. With my minor in Women and Gender Studies and career goal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, I am passionate about learning about, spreading awareness for, and fighting against the systemic violence against women. With the philanthropy and the SYZterhood, I have really found my home in Sigma Psi Zeta.

The girls are so genuine and they brought me out of my comfort zone a lot. The SYZterhood just felt like a home away from home. It’s like a whole family where we’re all just supporting and appreciating each other despite our individual differences and stages in life. Meeting each one of them just felt like the warmth of a sun ray hitting you when everything else feels cold ☀️🤍

Sigmas is a way for me to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people! Here I got to find my home away from home and a sisterhood that will last a lifetime. Sigmas supports my values and goals of making a difference and promoting change in the campus community and community as a whole.

Somewhere along the way, Sigmas started to feel like a home away from home. SYZters are so welcoming and supportive from day one! We are all very passionate about making a change and positively impacting our communities, leading to a supportive and empowering environment that I’m proud to be a part of. I’ve been looking for a way to form new connections and have an outlet for activism, our philanthropy matches my personal interests- creating a safer world for women and gender queer people! i just so happened to join the org with some of the most incredible people in it, i’m so grateful for all my siblings 😄

i was a bit shy when first coming to cuse and a friend invited me to come to a gen interest meeting. i went and the vibes were so good that i decided to stay! love all my siblings 🫶

I joined sigmas to embrace diversity and connect with individuals from various backgrounds. The sorority's commitment to combating violence against women and marginalized groups resonated deeply with me, as I'm passionate about supporting these causes. Additionally, I saw it as an opportunity to cultivate skills like confidence and presentation, which are vital in today's world. The chance to network with fellow SYZters from different chapters and charters excited me, offering a rich platform for learning and growth within a supportive community.

I chose Sigmas because I felt an immediate connection with my SYZters and I felt really comfortable talking with them about anything. I also felt like I could be myself around them and that I didn’t have to change anything about myself to fit a certain mold. When I learned about Sigma Psi Zeta’s philanthropy, it immediately resonated with me and made me want to join Sigmas even more!

I chose Sigma Psi Zeta because I found a group of people where I was comfortable to be myself. On top of that, when talking to the SYZters, I felt their authenticity and appreciation for one another as well as the organization as a whole.

I first joined Sigmas because of how it was so easy to get along with everyone. After spending time with other SYZters and getting to know my line, I got to form special bonds with each of my SYZters. I chose Sigma Psi Zeta because I wanted to surround myself around womxn who empowered and motivated each other. All of the SYZters are connected by a special bond and I immediately felt it when I met them. The national philanthropy also resonated with me and offered me a way to give back to my community though acts of service and engagement. I am excited to start my journey and more than honored to represent such an amazing group of leaders!
